The first prayer book of the reign of Elizabeth I; Title page, Almanack and Kalendar printed in red and black; Beneath imprint: Cum priulegio Regiae Maiestatis; Signatures: [superscript pi]A¹² [superscript pi]B⁶ A-K⁸ L¹⁰ M-N⁸ O-P¹⁰; With the preliminaries in four different states, with at least nos. 1 and 4 having been sophisticated: 1. collating [superscript pi]A¹² [superscript pi]B⁶, with the titlepage ([superscript pi]A1 undated and supplied from another edition ca. 1566 and the Almanack on [superscript pi]A12v beginning with 1559. Quire D, L3,8 and P4,7 are of the same setting as STC 16292. 2. collating [superscript pi]A¹² ²[superscript pi]A¹⁰ with the titlepage dated 1559, but the state of the border (McKerrow & Ferguson 68) is probably later than 1559. [superscript pi]A9-12, with the Almanack beginning with 1559, were intended to be cancelled. ²[superscript pi]A¹⁰ includes an Almanack begining 1561 on ²[superscript pi]3v and a revised Kalendar. 3. collating [superscript pi]A¹² [superscript pi]B⁶, with the title page the same as no. 2 and the Almanack on [superscript pi]A12v which begins with 1561. 4. collating [superscript pi]A¹² (-[superscript pi].
