Title 'A convocation sermon' in the hand of Archbishop William Sancroft, and Cambridge shelfmark 'Fasc. 1.2' at f. 123r. Begins 'Lucas Evangelista reverendissimi in Christo patres et fratres...' The sermon relates controversies and hostility encountered in the early Church, and describes the current state of the English Church, surrounded by foreign enemies and racked with internal division and useless controversies.
