Recovery by Sir. Peter Carew, against Peter Barrye, of Paynston, of a castle and certain lands in the barony of Odrone, 8 Feb., 11 Eliz.
Recovery by John Vowell alias Hooker, against Patrick MacFizz of Oldtowne, of the town of Oldtowne, in co. Catherlaghe, which Sir Peter Carew demised to the said John, 12 Feb., 11 Eliz.
On 17 Sept., 11 Eliz. [1569] Sir Peter Carew was found to be true and lawful heir to the barony of Odrone, alias Hidrone, held by Morroghe MacGerald Sutton, Brian MacDonoghe, and others. That ordinance was confirmed by Sir Henry Sydney, 22 Dec. 1568, 11 Eliz. [Sic.] Enrolled on the Patent Roll of 14 Eliz.
"Quaere" certain documents relating to Carew's lands in the Exchequer at Dublin and in the Chancery in England; dated 12 Feb., 15 Eliz.; 20 Dec, 11 Eliz.; 10 June, 15 Eliz.; 11 Aug., 14 Eliz.; and 8 Nov., 14 Eliz.
According to memoranda in the margin, three of these documents were found.
