Under a wide arch Ezekiel seated holding scroll. A hand seizes his hair and he looks up. A group of men sit on R. R. City gate and towers. Ezekiel with scroll stands in C. The hand holds his hair. B: L. The man in a linen garment with inkhorn (wallet at girdle), beardless, faces L. A hand on L. with scroll. To R. a group of five men, red-haired, beardless, draw their swords. A tree. The writer in white marks T on the forehead of the third of three seated men. R. The five executioners slay five or six men. Text. Blue ground. L. Ezekiel looks to R. A hand in a cloud thrusts a roll of a book into his mouth. R. He sits holding a round vessel and shaves off his moustache. These pictures were not known to Dr. Neuss when he wrote his excellent study on the iconography of Ezekiel.
