Gift of a printed book, with a further book given by his sister Elizabeth Elstob. p. 124. 1710. A note by William Reading on the Copyright Act under which Sion College became eligible to claim books entered at Stationers' Hall. p. 124. 1710. '... John, Lord Bishop of Bristol (afterwards of London)' [John Robinson]. Gift of a printed book. pp. 124-127. 1711. 'Mr. Richard Chiswell, bookseller in St. Paul's Churchyard, London'. Gift of printed books, received after Chiswell's death. pp. 128-160. 'Thomas James, printer in Minchin Lane, London'. Gift of over 3,000 books bequeathed by Thomas James for public service and assigned by his widow Eleanor James to Sion College Library. With portraits, furniture etc. At pp. 159-160 is a list of clergyman who contributed to chaining and setting up the James bequest in Sion College Library.
